HEALTH GUARANTEE~~The puppies come with a 2 year health guarantee against any life threatening congenital defects, we have already given the puppies their first puppy shots. They receive 4 dewormings, & they have seen the vet for a complete physical examination and score of good health. We do not breed demodex dogs like other breeders, nor do we breed any low immune system dogs. Our breeders are OFA, heart cleared, normal.
There aren't many breeders who can say that about their bulldogs! (View "Health Program" below) Our puppies IF PROPERLY RAISED on a good and healthy diet and lifestyle, will spend years of healthy life with you. Most breeders do not offer a 2 year health guarantee because bulldogs can have so many problems. I'm sure you know of this and have done your research. Alot of the problems come within the first 2 years of the pups life. We have spoke with folks who have lost their puppy young and are looking AGAIN to pay full price for another puppy. It can be heart rendering and we want to see to it that our puppy's families have a wonderful experience in raising their new puppy! We want our customers to know that we are confident in the health of our dogs. We are not afraid to offer such a guarantee for our puppies.
We are not saying that breeders can be perfect, nor do we claim that something may not possibly happen with one of our puppies. We realize things can happen. A dogs genetics can bring down 10 generations, and it is just impossible to know and research the entire line of any dog. However, we are doing our best to produce the best puppies we can. And do the best research in a close range of genetics with our dogs.
HEALTHY DOGS~~We never breed a dog that we know has ever had a health issue. If a dog has been purchased by us for breeding and gets demodex we will NOT breed it, we do not purchase our dogs we breed from a breeder known to have demodex either. If a breeder tells you "sometimes bulldogs lose their hair"... stay away! I get so sad about hearing about allergies, hairloss and on and on. Well breeders, do not breed them if they have those issues to pass to their puppies! AGAIN, a puppy must be raised in a good and healthy environment so as not to have these problems also, but we do not breed an unhealthy or demodex dog ever.
It has been our conclusion with our research in breeding that a demodex dog will breed a demodex dog, and a healthy immune system sire and dam, will produce pups with healthy immune systems. This may not ALWAYS be the case, but we are not going to prepare you to raise a dog with problems. We will TEACH YOU to RAISE A HEALTHY DOG! We study our genetics so we can know the genetic history of our lines. We are not completely opposed to linebreeding or cross breeding. It is all about producing the best and healthiest puppies possible. (of course we do not condone inbreeding)

DELIVERY OPTIONS~~If buyer lives too far to personally pick up their puppy, or for our "halfway" delivery -- we can ship the puppy to their nearest major airport. All shipping costs are paid by the buyer. We charge a flat rate of $250 for shipping .(Warmer months - May - September the price may be higher to personally VIP the puppy) . This price also includes the shipping Kennel and USDA Veterinarian Health Certificate prior to shipping. Shipping is done through http://www.continental.com/travel/policies/animals/procedures.asp . Only major airports that support live animal shipments are accepted for transport. There are many temperature restrictions for Arizona, therefore, shipments can only be done early in the morning, and on weekdays.

HEALTH PROGRAM FOR PUPPIES~~
Please note: Our health program works for pups that leave our home at 8 weeks. If you are anxious and ask for your puppy earlier, they may not have completed these treatments. However, by 6 to 8 weeks. Puppies will have all of their dewormings, first vaccinations, and well puppy vet check up!
For the health of our puppies we follow a strict diet and health program to build immune systems and protect our puppies from the "monster bugs" in the world today!
Each puppy receives deworming at 2, 3, 4, & 6 weeks of age. They receive pyrantel pamoate and piperazine. We give one dose of fenbenzadole before leaving our home. This is a strong dewormer that kills all types of worms as well as giardia. It is just for safeguarding. We prefer this over the use of Albon, metronizadole or other types of antibiotics for puppy “bugs” so as to keep the immune system strong and healthy.
At 4 weeks old we begin weaning our puppies from the mother. They begin a puppy mash created to help the puppy get the best start in life and build a good strong immune system. We use the Taste of the Wild foods. http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/ After much research we have decided we like the results of this diet best for our puppies. It is formulated for slow growth and keeps a nice weight on the puppies. Of course everyone LOVES the fat, wrinkly puppy, but it is important to note for a healthy bulldog puppy, a slow growth diet, low in calcium, higher in protein and with a reasonable amount of fat is important.
If you give a bulldog too much calcium, their bones will grow faster then their girth and muscle. This will cause the very bow legged look, and various growing problems such as hip dysplasia (view article below). Too much fat takes up space in the body & belly where the nutrients for growing and developing a strong immune system should be. Believe me, your bulldog will get fat and wrinkly, and they grow too fast as it is, but they will CONTINUE to grow, 2 years for a female and 3 years for the male, the last to complete growing is the head.. It is important to present a growing pace suitable to this breed and for less health issues.

Regrettably, the incidence of HipDysplaysia in some breeds is actually increasing. The expression of the disease is modified by environmental factors such as exercise and diet, e.g. overfeeding to produce rapid growth, and calcium over-supplementation. Abnormal loading of the articular (joint) cartilage in the loose hip initiates degenerative changes within the joint (osteoarthritis). Note: Exercise and environment include your bulldog jumping up and down, on and off the bed, up and down stairs. Try to limit these in the early years.
PUPPY MASH INGREDIENTS: The Taste of the Wild Food above is mixed with Petinic vitamins, Echinacea, (or the herbal supplement listed below whichever I happen to have in stock), we add yogurt for the necessary bacteria flora needed to change from mother’s milk to puppy food. FOR THE FIRST 5 TO 7 days of weaning. We add gerber baby rice oatmeal (we are researching organic brands), and esbilac puppy formula. We do this to strengthen the small bones which the pups have just developed. If we are having trouble with the pups eating I add bouillon for flavor. Then I water the mixture to an inch above the line of contents, microwave for 3 minutes. Stir and add water and heat until I have the consistency I am looking for. Then I cool to a luke warm temperature.
We do what we can to build a healthy immune system to ward off puppy ailments such as cocci. Puppies can have cocci develop, even when there are no signs of it in the mother or father. Cocci can be a cell in a mothers blood stream that is unrecognizable in veternarian testing. This cell is what takes advantage of the young immune system in the puppy and becomes cocci. Cocci if treated is nothing to worry about, but when unknown or unseen in some vet testing, it can cause a young puppy all kinds of illness and trouble.
We also want to ward off the threat of Giardia. Although Giardia is a puppy illness which threatens all pups in their young age. Again we do not want this to be a problem when folks take home a puppy from Pax Romana kennels.
At 6 weeks our puppies visit the vet for their "clean bill of health" which includes, heart check, eye check, respiratory check, and posture/hip check, and their first puppy shots are received. ONLY the 6 way, no LEPTO, puppies can have a bad reaction to the lepto and we do not really have a lepto problem in
SUPPLEMENTS OUR PUPPIES RECEIVE~~ As well as above, our pups receive::
Echinecea and dandilion, and other immune building herbs and liver cleansing herbs. Although we believe the puppies must have their vaccinations, etc. It is very stressful on their immune systems. Between learning to eat kibble, losing their mom's constant attention, then losing their siblings and moving to a new home, ALONG WITH all of these chemicals; puppies really do have to endure alot. I REALLY try not to give my dogs antibiotics, and I do not vaccinate the 4th vaccination most vets require. The reason is, just as we are doing to ourselves in the human world, we are doing to the animal kingdom. They have recently come up with a 3 year vaccine, which I think says something. As humans we get a vaccination ONCE! More and more viruses and bacteriums are mutating and finding ways to survive these chemical cures.
